About Charlotte
I have been a native English (TEFL CELTA) teacher for over 20 years. I have taught all age groups starting from the age of 3 through to 70. I’ve taught in schools, language Institutes and privately. I am bilingual in English and Portuguese. I teach beginner Spanish. I spent most of my teaching career in Portugal, where I grew up, with a term teaching underprivileged children and adults in a little village north of Bahia, Brazil. Since moving to England at the end of 2016, I have continued teaching English as an additional Language and I have also tutored KS1 students in Literacy.

I adapt to the student’s abilities and needs, going at a steady pace, according to their progression. If there are weaker points, we can focus on them a little more until the student feels more confident in those areas. It’s important that my students enjoy their classes, in an informal environment. I really enjoy teaching and am considered to have a caring approach. Since moving to the UK, I have tutored privately to KS1 as well as continuing my TEFL teaching. I teach in groups or on a one-to-one basis.
