About Adam
I’ve recently graduated from King’s Maths School and am a first year at the University of Sheffield studying General engineering. I’ve always enjoyed Maths and Physics, especially understanding how and why things work rather than simply memorising methods.
Outside of studying, I’m interested in prosthetics and assistive technology, and I enjoy developing my own projects. I’m also regularly train Brazilian jiujitsu. I’m a friendly and patient person and want my lessons to be a safe environment for students to ask questions, comfortably make mistakes, and work through problems out loud.
Having just completed my A-levels, I can also relate closely to the challenges students face and share techniques that worked for me

Having recently completed my A-levels, I understand the challenges students face and what it takes to prepare effectively for exams. I focus on breaking down complex topics into simple, understandable steps, while building confidence and developing effective exam technique. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, helping them develop both their understanding and independence.
Lessons are typically an hour long but can be adjusted to suit each student’s needs. I’m also happy for students to ask questions or send problems they’re struggling with between lessons at no extra charge, so they can keep making progress outside of our sessions.

Adam appeared in my life and revolutionised my view of maths. His deep passion and enthusiasm inspired me and his incredible patience is the reason I was able to achieve a grade 9 in GCSE maths despite only being predicted a 7. He was able to guide me through topics, making sure I built up every step of my own accord so that I could have a complete understanding of the topic and anything that could come up, instead of just memorising things. He allowed me to believe I could do more and helped me to also achieve A* predicted grades in both Maths and Further Maths in year 12. I could not recommend him enough.
