About Dibyendu
A Few words about me: BASIC TRAINING: My journey with music began with my first guru Shri Sanjib Bose(a student of pandit Sandip Deb ,one of the stalwarts of Benaras Gharana) from whom I took my initial Tabla training, till the age of 10. ADVANCED TRAINING : For the past 10 years I have been Tabla training under Shri Sandip Ghosh(a student of pandit Anindya Chatterjee) of ‘Farrukhabad Gharana’ . MUSICAL PHILOSOPHY : To me, As an Indian classical Tabla player, my music philosophy centers on blending tradition with innovation. I value rigorous practice, improvisation, and the spiritual connection music foster. By honoring the guru-shishya Parampara and embracing creativity, I aim to inspire and share the timeless beauty of our musical heritage. PERFORMANCES : ~SARAT SADAN AUDITORIUM, Howrah ~BANI NIKETAN INSTITUTE HALL, Howrah ~SHIBPUR PUBLIC LIBRARY, Howrah ~EZCC(Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre),Kolkata ~GYAN MANCHA AUDITORIUM, Kolkata ~ DASPUR MILAN MANCHA, West Medinipur ~ SARADA CULTURAL ACADEMY ANNUAL PROGRAM, MADHUSUDAN MANCHA, Kolkata etc. EXPERIENCE : I have been teaching Indian Classical Tabla Music for over ten years at my Institute named ‘Swar O Dhwani’ in Kolkata and Howrah and other Institutes like ‘Sangeet Bhaban’, ‘Shruti Academy ’ etc. I am also a Stage and Sound Groomer. Many of my students are performing Tabla solo, sangat after learning from me for a period of around two to three years.
