About Yasmin
I am a published journalist and recent graduate from the University of Exeter with a degree in Philosophy. I have years of experience tutoring children, with a specific focus on 11+ and common entrance prep. I attended Bancroft’s School and received all A*s and As in my A Levels and GCSES, after having been through the 11+ and common entrance process myself. I understand the work needed and I am able to offer step by step guidance to those starting from scratch, and aid others who may need help in specific areas.
With the right support, academia should never appear daunting.

After an initial test to determine a child’s academic strengths and weaknesses, we will work together to create a strong foundation to build upon. Once the basics have been covered and solidified, students will progress by putting what they have learnt to the test, in the form of practice questions and assessments.
Students will be supported throughout their lessons, and homework will be set to ensure that what has been taught during the lesson, is not forgotten. This will be marked and corrections will be worked through together before moving on to new topics. Every child is different and different styles of teaching are necessary to help individual children understand the work in front of them. I take this into consideration when teaching.
