About Ellen
My name is Ellen Affleck; I am Norfolk born and have lived all over the UK. I was an all rounder scholar at Sedbergh School in Cumbria where I gained 11 IGCSE’S and 3 A levels. I went on to study The University of Chester; from there I have worked in 4 schools, each of which being entirely different! I love sports and being active, and thouroughly enjoy being part of a team. I have represented my country, region and local area in several sports, and have recently taken up rugby.
I will always have a plan, but I am able to adapt. I am prompt, punctual and reliable. I am an avid people person and I will take time to learn about you, in order to make the content we cover interesting and inspiring for you!

I am an advocate for ‘learning-by-doing’ teaching -our lessons will be concise and fun filled, whilst covering the necessary topics. I have 5+ years of working in schools, with several different age groups & I use modern teaching techniques, as well as some old trusted methods! I can tailor the sessions to the needs of the student and adapt any material where applicable.
I am a media, journalism and language graduate BA Hons. I have worked in two Schools of The Year and have had several high scoring exam groups.
I am an ex England sports woman and coach national, regional and club sports.
