About Elizabeth

Hello lovely students! My name is Elizabeth. I am a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and a prospective law student. Though law school doesn’t allow for much creative writing, in academia, I have written hundreds of papers, essays, and most recently my first published research article! I have always had a passion for writing excellence and am so excited to teach you skills that will make writing feel less like a chore and more like an opportunity to share your unique perspective.

In addition to developing your writing skills, I specialize in helping students hack the SAT Reading and Writing section. The SAT is full of patterns and tricks—and once you know what to look for, it becomes much easier to navigate. I’ll teach you how to spot trap answers, break down reading passages quickly, and apply easy grammar rules that show up again and again on the test. I'm so excited to teach you how to tackle any question and write high-scoring essays with ease!

Need help with writing? Elizabeth teaches a simple formula for tackling any essay type—argumentative, perspective-based, or objective. You’ll learn how to craft a clear thesis, organize your ideas, and write with confidence under time pressure. We’ll also dive into reading comprehension, showing you how to quickly break down complex passages and find the right answers fast.
