About Alana
I am a dual degree graduate from Johns Hopkins University with degrees earned in Cognitive Neuroscience/computer science and Psychology, and a minor in photography. I graduated as member of the Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society as well as with university and departmental honors. I have 8 years of tutoring experience in subjects ranging from elementary math to university level neuroscience to writing to study skills and everything in between. Further, I have TA'd multiple college level courses, and helped students gain admission to college, succeed in undergrad/grad programs and thrive in their psychology research.

I spent three years researching memory at Johns Hopkins and learned about the best ways to help students learn! This helps me best target my tutoring towards YOU! I aim to determine how each individual student learns best, and teach through many different modalities (visual, verbal/auditory, mechanical, etc.). I am patient in helping students understand, and I aim to make lessons efficient, helpful, and fun!
