About Johan
I studied BMus Honors at the University of Pretoria 2003-2006. Completed Higer Certificate in Early Childhood Development (cum laude) at Damelin 2018. I am currently a third year BEd Intermediate Phase student at Stadio Multiversity. Subject spesializatons: English Home Language, Natural Sciences and Technology. I successfully completed the course Teaching English First Additional Language.

I approach each class in a holistic manner. For non-native English students I focus mainly on what English will be used for. I.e. Business communication, preperation for studies in English at home or abroad and basic conversational language. Each lesson is created for the unique needs and wants of each students. All lessons are based on successful outcome. Lessons are structured in a manner that suits the individuals needs. My methodology process follows the following steps nand guidelines: when planning lesson outcomes: use; develop; analyse; express; evaluate; organise; create; write; plan; apply; produce; implement; compile; incorporate and construct. I use scaffolding activities to guide the individual through the zone of proximal development. Going from the knowledge the individual has and guiding the individual towards the knowledge that needs to be aquired.
