About Maggie

I'm Maggie and I would love to be your tutor. I have a Master’s Degree in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching Japanese as a Second Language, which I received in one of Japan's top universities. I've been teaching Japanese in Europe and in Japan for the past 15 yrs. online and offline.

About the lesson

***MY LESSONS are tailored, as much as possible, to students’ interests and current abilities. My teaching is student-centered starting from student's needs and objectives. I believe teaching and learning should be an enjoyable experience for all involved. This allows the students to strive for their highest potential. I gear each of my courses on a student's strengths and abilities to help them to learn as quickly and efficiently as possible. ***I OFFER you a variety of courses: 1) Japanese for beginners/intermediate learners/advanced learners; 2) JLPT/N5 – N1/; 3) Japanese through Manga and Anime; 4) Business Japanese; 5) Conversational Japanese; 6) Kanji Lessons, etc. ***MY TEACHING STYLE is professional and light-hearted. Lessons with me are interactive. I like to challenge my students and ask interesting questions that pertain to their field of study. I also create a syllabus so that progress can be tracked and students can learn what areas require the most focus. I am caring, empathetic, and extremely patient, so students of all levels and backgrounds feel comfortable with me. I have helped many learners whether to get their dream jobs or the big promotion or just improving their Japanese for their trip abroad. The greatest difficulty is taking that first step!
