About Bay
I have extensive experience learning about Japan and Japanese culture, and have worked both in Japan and the US, utilizing both languages. I have an N2 JLPT certification and am a native speaker of English with many linguistics courses under my belt. Furthermore, I have been a tutor before and have worked with youths in experiential learning programs where I help them discover Japanese culture as well as new ways to look at language and themselves.

I have a passion for learning languages, but am specialized in Japanese and English! I’ve been working and living in Japan on and off since 2016, translating and interpreting Japanese to English and vice versa. I have a BA in Japanese and experience tutoring students in English literacy and speaking. I love teaching others new things and learning them myself, and love to incorporate students’ interests into my tutoring.
