About Benedetta

I'm a university student from Milan, and for me, teaching Italian is about sharing a part of who I am: my language, my culture, and my love for connecting with people. I am a patient and friendly person, whose aim is to create a space where students feel comfortable, respected, and motivated to speak and learn such a beautiful language as Italian. To see my students grow in confidence is what I love most about teaching. Learning to speak a new language is so different from learning any other subject. It requires courage, and the willingness to make mistakes and put oneself out there, from the very beginning.

About the lesson

Hey! This is Benedetta, a university student hailing from the city of Milan. I’m a native Italian speaker and I offer lessons in Italian focused on conversation — perfect for anyone who wants to bring their spoken Italian to the next level in a natural and practical way. My lessons are informal yet structured: we talk about Italian culture, travel, movies, current events — anything that helps you feel comfortable and confident while speaking. I’ll correct you gently, help expand your vocabulary, work on pronunciation, and boost your speaking confidence — all while keeping things light, fun, and engaging. Approach and structure: Each lesson is crafted around your level and goals. In our first meeting, we’ll figure out what you’d like to achieve and what areas we should focus on most. Depending on your needs, we might work on: 1. Conversation and fluency 2. Natural and idiomatic expressions 3. Listening comprehension 4. Targeted corrections with simple, clear explanations Lesson duration Lessons are typically 60 minutes, but I’m flexible if you need a different format. Experience & students I’ve mainly worked with students aged 8 to 20, simply because that’s who I’ve connected with so far — but I’m happy to work with learners of any age or level. I'm fluent in English, and I can explain things clearly when needed. However, I believe the best way to truly learn a language is by diving into it from the start, avoiding too much translating. We’ll speak Italian as much as possible, even at a beginner level, so you can build confidence and fluency naturally. Whether you're starting from scratch or looking to sharpen your Italian for travel, work, or everyday conversation — I’m here to help. Who are these lessons for?
