About Charlotte

I started tutoring at the age of 17, and have done exams up until very recently. Tutoring as I have been learning myself means I have an implicit understanding of what it means to be a student and have grown alongside my clients, so the success and wellbeing of my clients are important to me - I want to see you excel! One of my priorities is understanding how my students learn so they get the most out of our time together. Having me as a tutor means learning key content and ideas, but more importantly, strategies for exam-taking or language learning that will help you for the rest of your academic career.

About the lesson

My main priority with my students is understanding their personal academic needs, so my lesson plans are highly customised. For exam preparation, I am comfortable familiarising myself with any exam board criteria/mark schemes and pinpointing areas for the student's progress. Creating a positive rapport with my students is important to me, proactively checking in on progress with the subject and offering advice on coping with exam stress, especially at the beginning and end of my lessons. In my Italian lessons, I offer comprehensive explanations of the key grammatical ideas and can enrich your understanding of the culture, having studied it as part of my bachelor's. My approach to teaching will provide key tools and strategies for learning HOW to learn language alongside language content.
