About Elena

I graduated from the Italian Liceo Classico with an overall score of 98/100 in 2018. Then, I moved to the UK, where I graduated with First Class Honours in Classics from the University of Durham (2021). While I lived in Italy, I helped students achieve excellent marks in their Italian essays and in their grammar exams. When I moved to England, I started teaching Italian as a foreign language.

About the lesson

The lessons usually last one hour. A portion of the lesson is dedicated to grammar study and revision. Successively, the student is given exercises of reading and listening comprehension. The lesson concludes with speaking practice. I strive to speak English as little as possible throughout the lesson, and invite my students to do the same.

Perfect! Elena is an amazing teacher, so well organised, very patient and clever and so supportive. Being a native Italian speaker is a great advantage too. I'd recommend Elena very highly.

Elena is a fantastic tutor - we’ve had weekly sessions learning Italian and Elena’s guidance has been great.

Elena is super reliable and approachable which makes lesson scheduling very easy.

Added to this, the lessons are always really fun and interactive, with Elena tailoring the sessions to our interests and abilities. We are challenged and pushed a little where necessary but not so much so that we feel out of our depth as beginners!

Elena has also had to help us with our grammar in general, so in a way we’ve been re-learning English at the same time as learning Italian - and this is all credit to Elena!

We highly recommend Elena to any adult beginners of Italian language.
