About Adi

Hi there!

My name is Adi (she/her)

I'm currently based in the UK, but I've travelled and lived in different countries all throughout my life

Why I'd love to help you learn Italian?

I was born in Israel to an Italian mother and an Israeli father. At the age of 8, my family and I moved to Italy and, at the time, I couldn't speak Italian. Now you might wonder – why would you be my tutor then?

I joined elementary school knowing only how to write my name, but my teachers treated me no differently than my classmates: grammar exercises, tests and interrogations. While it was incredibly hard at first, I will be forever grateful. Not only did I become fluent within months, but I also developed a deep passion for languages, linguistics and foreign literature.

My teachers' faith in me and their incredible skills made a big part of who I am today and I would love to be able to help and empower someone to learn another language.

Languages give me joy and I believe that they're a great connector between people.

About the lesson

Learn Italian with a native speaker

Whether you've always wanted to be able to order at a restaurant on your Roman holidays or you'd like to take your Italian to the next level, I'd love to help.

As someone who learnt Italian as a child and now is a native speaker, I know where the difficulties lay and I can help you get a deep understanding of both the language and the culture.

You'll gain a solid foundation in grammar and vocabulary, as well as improve your pronunciation and intonation. You might even learn some of the fundamental hand gestures (it's not a stereotype!)

I will personalise my approach, ensuring to tailor my teaching method to whatever suits your learning best. Whether it's speaking, writing or listening. You can also rest assured that we'll be learning some great Italian songs and watching films as your homework

The duration of the lesson is flexible, depending on what you would like to focus on. The recommended length is an hour, but this can be adapted.

I am open to classes for any level and age.
