About Chiara

I have a background in sustainable energy engineering and a passion for languages, psychology, astrology, woodworking. I am currently volunteering in a project restoring a beautiful wooden vessel, and trying to keep my passions alive by sharing them with fellow humans.

My first weakness: French. I speak quite a good French, and I would love to teach Italian to French speakers.
My second weakness, although a different type: Danish. I speak Danish not so fluently (A2 non certified, currently studying) and I can integrate that knowledge to help the learning process for Danish speakers.

About the lesson

My method focuses on grammar and pronunciation. If you get those, you will soon be able to understand what Italians are talking about (when they are not using their hands).

Although I am at the beginning of my Italian teaching journey, I have been teaching math and physics to high school students when I was in Italy, and I've been tutoring plenty of youngsters over the years. I am used to prepare and customize lectures based on the student's needs.

→ I can help you practice through conversation and reading aloud, and you will be able to improve your pronunciation following my tips, as well as broaden your vocabulary.
→ I can help you navigate Italian grammar in all its beauty, from basic structures to more complex expressions, depending on your needs. If you can speak any other romance language or have studied Latin, we can use that too, and focus on similarities and differences between Italian and the other language you know.

A typical lesson includes:
- pronunciation focus, reading together a text/dialogue
- grammatical focus, material can be provided
- interactive focus, with exercises and conversation
- cultural insights, including Italian gestures and dialects ;)

The lessons and the teaching plan are fully customizable depending on your needs (length of lesson, frequency, homework and of course topics)
