About Sampada

I’m a passionate fashion designer, graduated from the ISDI (Indian School of Design and Innovation) in Mumbai. With a keen eye for detail and an innate sense of style, I have skills in fashion design, fashion illustration, and fashion styling.

My experience spans both analog and digital mediums, allowing me to seamlessly blend traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. Whether it’s sketching intricate designs by hand or creating vibrant digital illustrations. My styling expertise further complements my design work, ensuring that every piece not only fits seamlessly into the fashion world but also tells a unique, compelling story.

Drawing inspiration from a mix of global trends and local influences, I bring a refreshing perspective to the fashion industry, creating innovative yet wearable designs that captivate and inspire.

About the lesson

By starting with the basics of fashion design and history, students gain a well-rounded understanding of the fashion industry before diving into specialized areas like styling or illustration.
Interdisciplinary Approach: Since design, styling, and illustration are all interconnected, students can better understand how to fuse these skills. For instance, an illustrator needs to understand design to draw accurate sketches, and a stylist needs to know fabric properties to make wise styling choices.
Skill Development: This course is not just about theory; it involves hands-on practice (e.g., drawing, designing, and styling) which is essential for retaining knowledge and honing practical skills.
Portfolio-Ready: By the end of the course, students will have created a professional portfolio that showcases their skills in design, illustration, and styling. This can be used to pursue further education or enter the fashion industry directly.
Comprehensive Preparation: The course gives students the ability to pivot between different areas of fashion. They can specialize in one area later, but with a strong foundation in all three, they will have more opportunities for careers in design houses, styling agencies, or freelance illustration.
