About Kevin

I have a genuine passion for the Irish language and have done all of my education through the medium of Irish. I currently teach in an English speaking secondary school and have been there for the last 7 years. I have 7 years tutoring experience in which I have taught students of all levels of proficiency. I have a deep understanding of students struggles with the subject, and I endeavour to make the lessons as enjoyable, fulfilling and productive as possible.

About the lesson

The first lesson will provide a detailed overview of the Junior Cycle/Leaving Certificate course. I will then identify the key areas/skills that the student needs improvement on for the state examinations. My teaching methodology is dependent on the student's level and ability. The ultimate goal is to develop the students Irish to achieve as good a result in the state exams as they can. My qualifications include a BA Degree in Irish and History, as well as a Professional Masters in Education (with a specialisation in Irish). I have 7 years tutor experience of all levels from ages 10-18. My lessons typically last between 60-70 minutes.
