About Ana

Hi! I’m Ana, a bubbly and enthusiastic Biology tutor with 5 years of tutoring experience, helping students build confidence, understand challenging topics, and achieve the grades they’re aiming for.

I achieved a H1 in Leaving Certificate Biology myself and now work professionally in medicinal regulation, giving me a strong scientific background and real-world experience in the life sciences.

Over the past five years, every one of my students has achieved their desired grade. I believe grinds should be more than just memorising notes. I make lessons fun, engaging and memorable, while explaining concepts in a way that actually makes sense.

My friendly and approachable personality helps students feel comfortable asking questions, build trust, and become more confident in their abilities.

Whether you’re struggling with a topic or aiming for that H1, I’ll work with you to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment.

About the lesson

My grinds are interactive, engaging and personalised — we don’t just read and write! I take the time to get to know each student first, understanding how they learn best, their strengths and areas they want to improve. I then tailor each lesson specifically to them. I use interactive videos, exam questions and guided note-taking, encouraging students to ask questions and actively engage with the material. I also recommend flashcards and keyword journals to help retain key information. I focus on creating clear, H1-level notes and using real-life examples and memorable explanations so concepts actually stick. We don’t just memorise Biology; we understand it, apply it and make it memorable!

Ana is a fantastic tutor. I heard about Ana through my work friends who also know her. My cousin needed help with her Biology Higher level for her leaving Certificate this year. She came to Ana with H6 grades and low confidence or enjoyability in the subject but she got her results and she achieved a H3 which is higher than what she ever planned! Ana is so patient and can explain abstract concepts very easily. She also helped her with exam technique which mattered. I recommend Ana to anyone who is struggling.

My standard in-person and online rate is €40/hour. This reflects the personalised approach and experience I bring after 5 years of tutoring, with every student achieving their target grade.

1.5-hour lesson (once a week): €55 — save €5
5-hour package: €190— save €10
