About Ferdane

I am confident I can provide you with the learning experience you need to help you meet your language learning goals. I have a certification for teaching English as a Second Language/Foreign Language from the International TEFL Academy in which I completed 30 hours of practicum as an assistant ESL/EFL teacher of adult learners. In addition, I have over 6 years of experience mentoring, coaching, and tutoring other subjects such as Spanish and writing.

My experiences working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures from all over the world have provided me with the awareness and insight necessary to help them succeed. One of my best qualities is my ability to empathize with others despite a difference in circumstances or beliefs. If you are looking for someone who is patient, understanding, and can meet you where you are, then look no further.

About the lesson

I have several different teaching styles. If you prefer a more formal style, we will create learning goals and I will create a lesson plan around them to help you reach your goals.

My other style is an informal teaching style, which is more conversation based. You can decide which topic we will discuss and we will review relevant vocabulary and grammar as we come across it.

If you are looking for a tutor to help you prepare for an exam such as the TOEFL exam, we can also cover specific questions from the exam (please have your practice materials with you if this is the case).

I will apply my patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills to help you get the most out of my lessons.
