About Sofia
I am an advanced pianist of Level 10 Conservatory Canada with over nine years of dedicated experience performing, sharing my passion for music, and constantly progressing my own skills. Over the course of my musical journey, I have had the privilege of placing fourth in the International Berlin Music Competition. Additionally, I earned the prestigious Medal of Excellence for receiving the absolute highest music theory mark in the entire province of Alberta. As an active performer who is always growing musically, I bring fresh perspective and real-world confidence straight to our lessons. I look forward to sharing my experience with my students and helping you achieve your personal musical dreams!

My lessons are designed for students who already know basic note names and key layouts and want to elevate their playing. I adapt my teaching entirely to your musical goals: if you want a rigorous focus on advanced classical technique, we can dive deep, but if you prefer to have fun learning your favorite pop, rock, or any other genre you like, count me in! If you are playing for fun, we skip traditional warm-ups, scales, chords and traditional techniques entirely and dedicate the whole class to learning your chosen piece step-by-step. My ultimate goal is to make every session engaging, motivating, and uniquely tailored to what you love to play.
