About Shifan
Welcome! I'm Shifan – A Certified English Mentor Helping Young Learners Shine Hello! My name is Shifan, and I’m a certified English and ELA mentor at CodeYoung with a true passion for teaching children. I work with students up to Class 6, and I’ve had the pleasure of teaching over 400 young learners — each one growing in confidence and excelling in English with my guidance. I believe that learning happens best when it’s fun, engaging, and pressure-free. That’s why I begin every class with a light game or activity to help students feel relaxed and happy. From there, we move into interactive lessons filled with storytelling, speech practice, writing exercises, and creative discussions. As a professional mentor trained by CodeYoung, I use proven techniques to make English easy and enjoyable. My classes focus on all core ELA skills — reading, grammar, writing, and speaking — while also encouraging kids to express themselves and think creatively. What sets my classes apart is the connection I build with each child. I create a supportive, safe space where students feel heard, valued, and motivated to learn. Many parents have told me that their children look forward to my classes — and to me, that’s the greatest compliment. Hello! I’m a certified English and ELA mentor at CodeYoung, and I specialize in teaching school children up to Class 6. With over 400 students successfully taught, I bring a warm, energetic, and creative approach to every lesson!
My Teaching Style
I believe that learning should be fun and engaging, especially for young learners. That’s why I always start my sessions with a little play or light activity to help students feel comfortable and open. Once they’re relaxed, we dive into our interactive learning!
Every class is filled with games, activities, and real-life examples to keep students excited about learning. I focus on all areas of English — grammar, reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension — and I make sure each child participates fully, building both skills and confidence.
