Inspiring, enthusiastic, experienced--English, History, ESL - English tutor with Aren

Aren tutored our son in English Lit. and English Language. He is extremely well-organised, and all subjects were covered thoroughly, and to an appropriate timetable. More importantly, he established a very good relationship with our son, which both engaged him in the subject, and ensured that he (our son, not Aren) actually did the work required.
Aren is an extremely likeable bloke, and his sense of humour is only surpassed by his knowledge of the tactics employed by West Ham United in the Allardyce-era.

My son received Aren's help for English and History A level coursework and exams. My son found Aren extraordinarily helpful and commented that Aren was instrumental in him "seeing the light" on techniques and what the question / examiner was looking for.
I found Aren very dedicated, responsive and approachable. My only regret is that we left it until January to enlist his aid - we should've started with him in September

Aren helped my son to achieve top marks in a short space of time. I am positive that Aren's input changed a likely Grade C to an A*. He engaged my son with the subject guiding him to structure and organise his thoughts/ideas with a great teaching style. The added exam practise and Aren's explanations of how to improve and produce model answers generated top results !

The lessons from Aren made a big difference and improved my English tremendously. Aren is a very patient and kind teacher, he makes sure that there is a comfortable atmosphere, but also makes sure that after every lesson you go home with the satisfactory feeling that you learned a lot of new things.
When we practiced speaking, I often forgot that I was being tutored because we had so much fun!
You should definately take lessons from Aren if you are looking for an intelligent, conscientious teacher who offers structured and fun lessons.

I have known Aren for a couple of years now, not as a student but instead as one of his professors on his Research MA at the University of Amsterdam. Now he is starting his PhD at Birkbeck, University of London, where I am sure he will be a great success. Aren and I have a shared background in that we both have years of experience in teaching English language classes overseas, something that helped us both develop our skills in teaching on other levels. If you are looking for someone with enthusiasm for communicating ideas and skill at helping you understand the important issues in your studies, then Aren is an excellent choice. He was great in seminars, was very good at close-reading of all material, in picking out essential details and sharing his ideas with the rest of the group. He's very good at PowerPoint presentations and recently gave a well-received paper at a conference we were both at in Gothenburg, Sweden. So, if you're looking for a tutor, he's the person to contact!

Aren is an old MA student of mine who is now researching for a PhD. He was the star pupil in my class, achieving top marks at writing essays, delivering presentations and showing an all round enthusiasm for the topic. I'm completely confident that he'll use all these skills to make a first class tutor. He has knowledge of a wide range of academic subjects including English Literature, English language skills, History, Religious Studies and Philosophy, and I would recommend him to anybody needing some in depth tuition in these. On a personal level Aren is friendly, patient and excellent at explaining difficult ideas clearly, so has all the really important qualities that a tutor needs.
