About Mason

With 12 years of experience as a flute tutor, I am passionate about guiding students from school to college level in their musical journey. My experience in music has taught me the importance of patience, discipline, and consistent practice, and I bring these values into my teaching.

I have worked with a wide range of students, helping them develop their skills step by step and gain confidence in their abilities. A key milestone in my career has been seeing my students perform confidently in various events and competitions.

My teaching approach is clear, patient, and student-centred, focusing on essential techniques such as breathing control, tone production, finger coordination, and rhythm. I also ensure that lessons are engaging and enjoyable, as I believe that students learn best when they are motivated.

I strongly believe that music education helps in overall development, and my goal is to inspire students to continue learning and build a strong connection with music.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching flute is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to create a positive and effective learning experience. I believe that learning music should be both enjoyable and meaningful. I start by understanding each student’s learning style and pace so I can adapt my teaching methods accordingly.

I motivate students by encouraging regular practice and appreciating their progress, which builds their confidence. Communication plays a key role in my teaching, as I explain techniques like breath control, finger placement, posture, and tone quality in a clear and simple manner.

With integrity, I ensure students learn the basics properly and build a strong foundation. I guide them patiently and provide honest feedback. Creativity helps me design engaging lessons with songs, exercises, and fun activities. In addition to flute, I also teach music basics such as rhythm, scales, and listening skills to enhance overall learning.
