About Foster

I am a dedicated ESL tutor with 10 years of experience teaching high school and college students. In this time, I have taught 150-200 students, helping them strengthen their English skills, build confidence, and succeed academically. Teaching allows me to combine my love for education with my passion for making a meaningful difference in students’ lives.

My teaching approach is practical, interactive, and personalised. I use real-life examples, discussions, and exercises to develop speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills. I also focus on fostering confidence, critical thinking, and effective communication so that students can engage successfully in academic and real-world settings.

Some of the milestones I cherish include students speaking fluently for the first time, writing effectively, improving grades, and participating actively in class discussions. These transformations inspire me to continue teaching with dedication, creativity, and patience.

I aim to create a supportive, motivating, and positive environment where students feel comfortable exploring, asking questions, and making progress. Teaching ESL is my passion, and I am committed to helping students reach their full potential while enjoying the journey of learning English.

About the lesson

I follow a practical, student-centred teaching methodology for ESL. Using real-life examples and case studies, I make lessons meaningful and relevant, helping learners understand how English applies to everyday life, academic work, and professional contexts.

I focus on motivation, inspiring students to stay engaged, set achievable goals, and enjoy learning. Problem-solving is a key part of my approach, enabling learners to tackle challenges in grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking effectively.

Integrity is central to my teaching style. I provide honest feedback, maintain a safe and supportive environment, and foster trust with students. I also practise flexibility, tailoring lessons to each student’s pace, preferences, and learning style.

In addition to ESL, I integrate related subjects like communication skills, professional English, and study strategies to enhance learning. My aim is to help students gain confidence, independence, and practical language skills.
