I am an engineer in the federal government. I've used my education and experience to tutor my kids in arithmetic, algebra, geometry and some trigonometry. I feel I can use that experience to help students learn these subjects.

I try to understand what the student is struggling with and work to help them from there. Sometimes I use real world examples to help explain a point I'm trying to make. Eventually, I want the student to understand the process to solving a problem.
