About Shambhavi

Hi, I'm Shambhavi — a working cell and molecular biologist, and your friendly neighborhood-tutor!

I currently work as an R&D scientist studying gut health and metabolism at a leading consumer products company, and before that, I spent almost 3 years developing lab-based safety and efficacy studies at Himalaya Wellness. I hold an MSc in Biotechnology with a 9.4 CGPA and have guided multiple students through their own dissertation projects — so I know exactly where students tend to get stuck, and how to get them unstuck.

When you learn with me, you're not just getting exam answers — you're getting a real scientist's perspective on why biology actually matters, explained clearly, patiently, and without jargon overload.

About the lesson

Biology cannot be memorized, it needs to make sense. I bring my industrial R&D experience to do exactly that- make biology easy to understand. Instead of just defining a concept, I show you where it actually shows up in the real world.

How I make it interesting?
When we cover gene expression, I'll walk you through how I use qRT-PCR in the lab to measure it. When we talk about immune markers, I'll connect it to ELISA assays I run on actual products.
I use a mix of visual diagrams, step-by-step breakdowns, and industry case studies to explain concepts. Rather than rote learning, I encourage students to understand the "why" behind a process — why a cell responds the way it does, why a mutation has a certain effect — because that understanding is what actually carries over to exams and beyond.

What makes me different?
Most tutors teach from textbooks. I teach from the lab. With 3+ years of active R&D experience developing real experiments and screening real ingredients, I can answer the "but why does this matter?" question in a way that comes from genuine, current industry practice — not just recycled textbook explanations.

Who I teach?
Everybody- I absolutely love making biology concepts easy to understand. I adapt my explanations and pace based on where the student is starting from, whether that's simplifying a concept for a younger student or going deeper into mechanisms for a college-level or competitive-exam student.
