I am a final year engineering student. I have been tutoring students since I was 16 years old. My students have always achieved great results and improved their marks by at least 10%.

I typically like to start my lessons with a recap of work done in the previous lesson to ensure the student is on track. I always like to handle parts of the work the student struggles with the most first but also ensure that all topics of the subject is covered.
After each lesson I give the student some homework and will then check and explain the homework in the next lesson.
