About Maria

I am a final year undergraduate music student majoring in Classical Voice at Guangxi University, China.

My musical experience started when I was only 5 years old, and I specifically started to explore more about singing when I was 8. In the year of 2012, I became one of the choristers in Capriccioso Children’s Choir. Since then, my love for singing grew deeper, and I started to participate in several choirs at a local church- I was even entrusted to be an assistant vocal coach and conductor at one of them at the age of 16. I was also entrusted to be an assistant coach as well as a piano accompanist for one of the sub-choirs of Capriccioso Children’s Choir, which was called Bluebirds Choir (consisting of children aged 5-8 years old).

Throughout my experience living in China, I got the chance to perform in various events held by the local government. Not only being on stage as a performer, I also had some experiences participating in singing competitions. As of this day, I have learnt singing under the guidance of these professionals: Fidella Graine (2012-2017), Yasashi Evelyn (2021-2022), and Jiangang Liu (2019-present).

My huge interest and love of music, especially in singing, makes me more dedicated in achieving my dream to share the positivity as well as the amazing musical experience towards people of all ages and backgrounds, and I wish to be able to advocate more of the importance of the role of music in our everyday life.

About the lesson

I give out lessons for children to adults- people of all ages are welcome!
The repertoires and learning materials I give for practice will be based on the student’s needs and interests. Despite that, I will always give full guidance towards the students, so that their learning process may stay on track with their goals.

I maximized our training sessions on the practice of the use of basic singing techniques, so that the students can be capable of producing great sounds while still maintaining their vocal health (prevent injury especially on the neck muscles as well as the vocal chord). Having a strong foundation on basic singing techniques will be a great help for the students in practicing any kinds of songs.

Not only in terms of singing techniques, I also pay attention to the aesthetics of singing, such as self confidence, song appreciation, diction, etc. to maintain the quality of the performance. In addition to that, I will give interesting supporting materials and examples in singing, which I hope may help the students in understanding the study materials.

Prior to the first lesson, I wish to have an online discussion with the student to get to know them personally, and to better understand their goals and expectations of taking this course, so that I can have each lesson planned well according to their needs.
I deliver the lessons in a relaxed yet effective and educational manner, as for me personally, learning music is supposed to be fun and enjoyable! :)

Details

Lessons are held once a week, four times a month.

Offline courses are only available for Gading Serpong and Alam Sutera area, with a transport fee of IDR 25.000,- per month (not per session).

If the student does not attend the course on the agreed time without prior notification, the lesson fee for that day will be forfeited and the lesson cannot be rescheduled.
