About Romane

Hi there ! My name is Romane, I’m 24 years old and a French native speaker living in Dublin. I first moved to Ireland four years ago as an au pair and fell in love with the country. During that year, I helped the children I cared for with their French lessons, focusing mainly on discussions to make learning more natural and engaging.

I’ve always loved learning English in school and improving it during my gap year, discovering new cultures, and sharing my own. French is a beautiful language that might seem complex at first, but with the right motivation, effective techniques, and strong conversational practice, it can become much easier to learn and enjoy. My goal is to make learning fun and engaging so that we can have a great time together while improving your French ! :)

About the lesson

I offer online French lessons for adults and teenagers who want to:
- improve their speaking and listening skills
- learn vocabulary and expressions through real-life contexts
- build confidence in natural, relaxed conversations

How do the lessons work?

We’ll start by watching a short, easy-to-understand French video (like a news clip or a report) that I’ve carefully selected and prepared. Then, we’ll discuss the video together: I’ll ask questions, help you with vocabulary, and guide you in building your sentences.
Lessons are typically 1 hour long, but I also offer 30-minute sessions for beginners or those with limited time.

Before the first lesson:

It’s important for me to understand your needs and goals. Are you preparing for an exam? Planning a trip to France? Or do you simply want to practice casual conversation? Let’s communicate before the lesson so I can tailor our sessions to your objectives !
