About Robyn
My name is Robyn, I'm 31, and I live in Bristol.
I am motivated deeply by the desire to have a meaningful impact, to learn, and to instil a sense of playfulness and creativity into my life.
I care about the world, and about people, with a keen curiosity for how humans connect. This is what I love about Improv, an art that is very much based on connection and communication between people. I believe Improv, and theatre, have life long lessons on confidence, creativity, and communication, and want to work with people interested in bringing these elements into their daily life.
I have a background in Speech and Drama (Gold LAMDA certificate) and am a student at the Bristol Improv Theatre.

I come from a LAMDA speech and drama background, having taken classes for 10+ years, performing group plays and monologues, reciting poems, and learning skills in delivery, confidence, and speech.
I was introduced to Improv after moving to Bristol where I started taking courses at the Bristol Improv Theatre, and now facilitate informal "Improv in the Park" for groups of local people on an informal basis.
Improv is a highly valuable thing to learn - learning to be comfortable with uncertainty, learning to listen, building confidence, reducing fear of failure, increasing creativity, and strengthening relationships.
I can provide tailored lessons (either group or 1-1) which introduce some of the key concepts of Improv, working to build confidence, and create a safe space for playfulness and creativity.
I am passionate about speech and drama, and improv as a means for building self-confidence, for improving speech, and for learning to listen and communicate well.
