About Valerie

Hi, I am Valerie! I graduated from Imperial College London with a Physics BSc last year and am staying to do a Security MSc.
Due to the remote nature of my MSc, my schedule is very flexible.

Born in Hong Kong, went to boarding school here in the UK, now based in London.
I can deliver tutoring in three languages: English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

I have a lot of experience with students from ages 10 to 18; I take pride in the professional and friendly relationships I have built along the way.

About the lesson

I provide three levels of tutorial tailored to your needs:

1. Strengthening - to help you with your weaker subjects at a comfortable pace
2. Drilling - to get you the best grade you can achieve with lots of practice along with top tips and tricks
3. Stimulating - to add an extra dimension of understanding for curious minds that already excel in that subject

Initial lesson will consist of a short written test, a verbal interview, and a sample lesson on a topic of your choice. This gives me a chance to assess the pace, the difficulty, and the frequency you need for our future lessons; you will also have a chance to decide whether you like my teaching style.

This will take longer than the usual one-hour lesson, but I will only charge the price of a normal lesson if you decide to continue with my tutoring. If you decide to look for another tutor, I will not charge you for the first lesson.
