About Siddharth
I am an incoming MSc Statistics (Data Science) student and recent First Class Graduate (BSc Mathematics with Mathematical Computation) from Imperial College London. I am passionate about Mathematics, Data Science, and teaching.
I wrote the STEP at the age of 16, receiving a grade of 1. I also received 5 A*s (Further Maths, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology) at A Level. I wish to impart the skills and approach that made me successful as a student to my tutees.
My favourite aspect of tutoring is witnessing a student's 'Aha!' moment when they crack a concept they've been struggling with for a while. I take great pride in my work and knowing I've enabled a young adult to achieve their academic goals.

As an MSc student myself, I am familiar with the anxieties the education system places on young students and their parents. If you don't believe me, ask my mother!
I found my passion for teaching over 2 years ago and have accumulated over 600 hours of experience. I have taught students across a wide range of exam boards including international A Levels for students from Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Riyadh. I have also coached students for the MAT, CSAT, TMUA, PAT, and STEP.
My philosophy focuses on an intuitional understanding of concepts over brute force memorisation. I believe in imparting skills that allow my students to apply their knowledge to a wide range of problems. This is particularly important for university entrance examinations with challenging and unique questions. Empathy and active learning are some key features of my lessons.
I recommend that GCSE and A Level lessons be conducted in 1 hour blocks while university entrances typically need 2 hours for a meaningful session.
