About Sylvia

Hi there, please check out my works at (concealed information) or in the video below. I'm an MFA graduate, graphic novel artist, illustrator, and former graphic designer. I’m also a compulsive drawer who can’t help capturing ideas/emotion/daily life by pencil. Looking forward to inspiring and getting inspired by you.

About the lesson

Class content: Human anatomy, sketching, narrative illustration Online Class Mode: For figure/portrait drawing, I use Procreate on iPad to demo + screen-sharing function via Skype/Zoom. Demonstration and in-class exercise session will be the main part of the class. After you finish your sketch (both traditional or digital will be fine), you can send me the picture of it and we will discuss and troubleshoot. No matter what level you are, as long as you have a passion for drawing, please contact me. I am looking forward to sharing my art experience with you.

Perfect! Sylvia was/is the perfect choice for my 12 yr old son. She has an awesome art portfolio which inspires his creativity. She's also a very calm teacher who understands his processing and takes time to evaluate and trouble shoot - he loves her "soothing voice". I've watched him work with her and felt very content at his joy to be in the moment - no outside noise - just an excellent, well prepared, patient teacher.

Perfect! Sylvia is such an amazing teacher, always incredibly patient, willing to help and makes sure you understand everything. I've improved more with her teaching me in a few weeks than I have in months on my own, cant reccomend her enough.

Perfect! It is easy to learn from a teacher that you're a fan of. It took me 2 lessons for a noticeable improvement in my art, 3 lessons to draw something that I can be proud of. I was immediately an admirer of her art, but now I am also a fan of her teaching.
