About Mojo
I am a doctoral researcher in Social and Political Thought, born, raised and living in Hastings. My PhD research is defined by its interdisciplinary approach in which I draw on my knowledge from across an array of Social Science and Humanities disciplines. I am in my late twenties, and for almost the entirety of my professional career, I have worked in centres of Education in both educational and recreational capacities. I like to take a personable approach to how I teach as I believe that these subjects offer students a voice to offer their viewpoints about issues. These subjects also help students to establish their own particular identities. I am enthusiastic about listening to and discussing social, political, historical or environmental views about the world we live in with students. I believe that enthusiasm rubs off, and I have bags of it.

I offer informal one-to-one lessons in Humanities and Social Science subjects. My classes will help students develop the critical skills necessary for success in these disciplines. Mainly, I will focus on building students' proficiency in essay writing by allowing them to develop their analytical and evaluative skills whilst also expanding their subject knowledge. I have fine-tuned my competence in these areas throughout my Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral level education. I also have three years of experience teaching as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in a state primary school and hold a TEFL teaching qualification which contributes to my pedagogical repertoire.
