About Charles
I am a freelance illustrator/designer/animator from Manchester UK. I studied motion graphics at Liverpool School of Art and Design, then worked in graphic design for 5 years at various top London agencies. This helped to prepare me for my freelance illustration career, working under the studio name "Made Up", which has allowed me to pursue and develop my own stylised aesthetic and conceptual approach. In the 12 years since starting this journey, I have worked with brands including Uniqlo, Adidas, Nike, FX, Adobe, O2, and publications such as Wired, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, New Scientist, GQ, and many more. I would love to share with you the various aspects of my professional and educational experience. I have a passion for teaching as well as creativity and it has long been a goal of mine to teach others.
