About Robyn
Qualifications: A Level Biology (Cambridge International Curriculum) in high school. BSc Human Physiology, Genetics and Psychology with a minor in Biochemistry at the University of Pretoria. BSocSci Honors in Psychology at the University of Pretoria. I've always been fascinated with understanding how the human body works, leading to a focus on biology throughout my academic career. I chose my university degree because it gave me the most thorough and in-depth look at how human beings function, all the way from the molecular through to the physical and psychological. I'm passionate about education, but more importantly about learning and understanding for oneself, rather than just to get good grades.

For first year Biological Science students at Tuks I offer tutoring in GTS161 Introductory genetics and MLB111 Molecular and cell biology.
As a visual learner myself, my teaching style centres around helping the student visualise the topic in a fun way in order to retain information.
Since I studied biology in high school and in university I have a large pool of notes and activities to pull from (as well as a few study tricks) for any topic the student might need help with.
I teach in English and offer both online and in-person sessions for primary school, high school and first year university students.
