About Isabella
I currently am a senior Biomedical Engineering student in a 3-2 physics engineering program. Currently, I work as an Emergency Medical Technician in New York, NY. My future plans involve applying to medical school and gaining clinical/nonclinical experience. Outside of school, I am a second degree black belt in Taekwondo. Taekwondo has been in my life for the past sixteen years and it has truly shaped me into the person I am today. Also, I love to work out, color, try new cafes, and explore new places in the city.

I believe that there is no one way to teach a subject or lesson. One quality of a good tutor is that they should be able to adapt to the child's learning style to further deepen their understanding of a lesson. As a physics/engineering student, breaking down tough problems is the key to understanding them. Most children I have tutored shy away from these big problems because it is too daunting or too difficult. With my knowledge of this, I encourage and show them how to break it down into parts they can understand and simplify. This eases stress, increases confidence, and in the long run, makes them a better student. My goal is to develop tailored lesson plans and practice materials to support each student's learning goals and academic performance that align with their learning style.
