About Prathyush

Hi, I’m Prathyush, a 11th Grade Honor Roll and AP Mathematics student at Bishop P.F Reding with a strong passion for helping younger students succeed in math.

I believe math becomes much easier and more enjoyable when students understand the reasoning behind concepts instead of memorizing steps without context. Having struggled with math myself earlier in high school, I understand how overwhelming fast-paced classes, especially AP and Academic; can sometimes feel. That experience helped me develop patience, stronger problem-solving skills, and a teaching style focused on clear explanations and genuine understanding.

My tutoring sessions are designed to be supportive, interactive, and personalized to each student’s learning pace. I focus heavily on one-on-one guidance, visual explanations, and consistent practice to help students build both skill and confidence over time.

I work with students in all grades up until 11th, including both AP and non-AP mathematics courses. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for tests, or strengthening their foundation for future math courses, my goal is to make learning feel less stressful and more rewarding.

About the lesson

I believe that when students understand the “why” behind a concept, math becomes much less stressful and much more enjoyable.

My tutoring approach focuses on one-on-one learning tailored to each student’s pace and skill level. I use visual explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and lots of guided practice to help students build confidence and strengthen their understanding. I strongly believe that practice makes perfect, but practice only works when students actually understand what they are doing.

A typical lesson usually starts with reviewing any homework questions or concepts the student finds difficult. From there, I break down the topic into simpler ideas using examples, diagrams, and real explanations instead of memorization tricks. After teaching the concept, we work through practice problems together before the student tries some independently with my support.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience and ability to explain concepts in a relatable way. Since I am also a student, I understand the challenges many students face in math classes today and can explain concepts in a way that feels easier to follow and less intimidating.

My lessons are designed for students in Grades 6–10, including both AP and non-AP math courses. Whether a student wants to improve grades, prepare for tests, strengthen fundamentals, or build confidence in math, my goal is to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
