About Lu

I’m a dedicated science educator with 6 years of homeschool teaching experience and a Biology degree from East Stroudsburg University. I’ve also worked in an immunology lab, which gave me hands-on insight I now bring into every lesson. I specialize in making science approachable and exciting for students from elementary through early high school. My lessons are tailored, interactive, and paced to fit each learner’s unique needs—building not just knowledge, but real confidence. I’m kind, patient, and truly invested in helping students grow. About the lesson

My approach as a tutor blends structure with creativity. I believe students learn best when lessons are engaging, personalized, and connected to the real world. I start by assessing each student’s learning style, strengths, and challenges. Then, I tailor each session to meet their specific needs—whether it's building foundational knowledge, exploring new concepts, or boosting confidence. A typical lesson begins with a quick review to reinforce past learning, followed by a focused, interactive exploration of new material using visuals, analogies, and hands-on examples when possible. We end with a short recap and a fun quiz or activity to apply what we’ve learned. What sets me apart is my background: 6 years of homeschool teaching, a biology degree from ESU with a focus in animal and cellular biology, and hands-on lab experience assisting an immunologist. I bring science to life by connecting abstract concepts to everyday life—making even the most complex ideas accessible and enjoyable. My lessons are ideal for: * Elementary & middle school students needing general science support * High school students beginning biology * Homeschool families seeking a structured STEM guide * Young learners curious about how the world works Whether your child is struggling, thriving, or just loves science, I provide a supportive, encouraging space to grow their skills and curiosity.
