About Holly

I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn and seeing that moment when something finally clicks. I love making maths feel less intimidating, and I really enjoy building positive, supportive relationships with my students. Outside of tutoring, I’m an avid reader and enjoy playing video games, which helps me relax and also gives me a great way to connect with students and keep lessons engaging and relatable. I take my role seriously and always aim to provide well-planned, reliable lessons in a professional and supportive learning environment.

About the lesson

My tutoring style is friendly, patient, and focused on helping students feel confident with maths. I aim to make lessons clear and engaging by breaking topics down into simple steps and using lots of examples and practice. Lessons usually last around 1 hour and are tailored to each student’s goals and learning style. I have a degree in mathematics, a PGCE, and two years' experience teaching maths in a secondary school. I can tutor secondary-age students of all abilities, whether they need extra support, confidence building, or help preparing for exams.
