About Alex
I am an Augusta local with a deep love for our city and community, and a commitment to supporting its arts and literacy. Outside of my studying and tutoring, I am a co-founder and poetry editor for the independent non-profit literary magazine The Ecdysis Review, which, beyond our publication, hosts workshops, readings, galleries, contests, and more for artists in the community.

As an English student with a demonstrated history of writing, editing, and publishing, both academically and professionally, as well as a fierce commitment to community engagement and service, my lessons can cover a wide range of topics depending on the students needs; ranging from the fundamentals of grammar, forms, and style guides, to more advanced topics for aspiring writers and English majors, such as how to effectively workshop pieces, give and receive criticism, collaborate with other artists, and how to navigate the often daunting world of publication and rejection.
