About Sophie

I’ve always had a deep love for maths, and teaching allows me to share that enthusiasm with students of all levels. I understand that many pupils find maths challenging, and I find it incredibly rewarding to help them, whether their goal is achieving a 5 in GCSE or preparing for an admissions test. Every student brings unique strengths and challenges to their learning, and I aim to build on these to make maths both accessible and enjoyable.

One of my greatest joys is instilling confidence in my pupils. So often, students feel maths “isn’t for them,” held back by a lack of self-belief. My role is to show them that maths can be for everyone; with patience, encouragement, and the right support, they can not only understand maths but truly excel.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is rooted in extensive experience and a personalised, supportive framework designed to help each student excel. With over six years of tutoring and teaching experience, I’ve guided students to reach their potential in a range of exams, from GCSE and A-level Maths to university admissions tests like TMUA, STEP, and MAT.

My lessons are conducted online, providing flexible scheduling and the convenience of learning from home. Using an iPad for dynamic, interactive lessons, I make each session engaging and clear. I understand that mathematics can be challenging, and I am here to guide you patiently, allowing you to progress at your own pace with support every step of the way.
