About Lia Yadira

My professional and academic background gives me confidence in the quality of the educational service I offer. I have over 23 years of experience as an educator; I began as a preschool teacher (seven years) while simultaneously serving as a university professor (14 years). My career has included roles as an educator and educational administrator (five years), coordinator of a commercial navigation academy (over 10 years), and middle school science and mathematics teacher (five years). Additionally, for six years, I voluntarily developed and taught a conversational Spanish curriculum to members of our community. This work is supported by my extensive academic background, which includes—but is not limited to—a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (with minors in Science and Mathematics), a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership with a specialization in curriculum development, and ongoing doctoral studies in General Psychology. My qualifications also include certifications in Child Care and Development, Merchant Marine credentials, and US Army certifications as a Finance Specialist and in language proficiency, among others.

About the lesson

Developing Spanish vocabulary can open up communicative opportunities—both professional and personal—thereby expanding the possibilities for effective communication with members of our community.
