¡Hola a todos! Bonjour tout le monde!
I am a qualified Modern Languages Teacher with experience of teaching across the 3-18 age group, specializing in Spanish (although I am able to offer French to GCSE level should this be required.)
In addition to an MA Honours Degree in Spanish, in which modules included Advanced Translation, History, Politics and Language) I studied French as an additional subject during University (having studied it for 10 years previously).
Upon completing my degree, I then obtained a PGCE in Modern Languages leading to QTS status. Upon qualifying, I have worked in a variety of schools, (in Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form) in East London and Essex, as well as offering private home tuition to a range of students.
My aim is to support people who are interested in improving their language-learning journey; whether you are learning a language in order to support your education, or you simply wish to learn for social and travel purposes, then look no further. As long as you are happy to put in the hard work, I am happy to help you and I aim to do so by making language learning a fun and worthwhile experience, using a variety of teaching methods that are tailored to the learning styles of my students.
I enjoy working within the classroom of course, but I have had a really rewarding experience working one-to-one with students, as I find that I am really able to differentiate my lessons to suit my students needs, and have as a result been able to measure progress in a more clear way. I offer a safe and secure learning environment and am a firm believer of the power of patience, praise and encouragement as I believe that learning a language should be an enjoyable and worthwhile experience- so don't hesitate and push yourself to achieve and exceed your learning goals!
