About Buhle

My name is Buhle Mahlangu, and I am a first-year student at the University of Pretoria in the Faculty of Education, where I am currently completing a Bachelor of Education degree.

I am interested in teaching simply because I have a strong passion for helping others. I enjoy reaching out to learners who struggle with understanding difficult concepts and guiding them until they are able to grasp the work with confidence. Teaching, for me, is a vocation more than just a career; it is something that comes from within me. It is a passion that I have carried with me for a long time. I have wanted to become a teacher since I was in the first grade, and that passion has only grown stronger over the years.

I believe teaching is about more than just delivering content; it is about making a real difference in learners’ lives, building their confidence, and helping them reach their full potential.

About the lesson

I’m a unique teacher because I engage with my students in a friendly yet professional manner. I’m not overly strict, and we can engage freely. I support my students emotionally, mentally, and academically. In my lessons, everyone engages and no one feels left out. I am responsible and I manage my classes well. I am a cool teacher. I provide my own notes if you don’t understand the notes being provided, and I simplify them in the best way possible. I attend to my learners individually so that they understand at their desired level. I provide different ways of learning so that my learners understand to the fullest. I even assist my learners after class so that they fully understand. I provide notes, visual clues, and practical examples. I go out of my way to make sure that my learners understand, and I am very patient and easy to engage with. I like to use fun facts so that our classes are enjoyable. I make sure that I produce quality results from 70% going upwards. We do practical activities so that we all understand. I teach content, but most importantly, I teach the structure of how to answer questions in the subject.
