About Heather
My name is Heather, and I have worked with the Auschwitz Memorial Museum, Carillon Historical Park, and the Ross County Historical Society since I graduated in 2022. In my spare time, I help maintain our mini-farm of almost 40 chickens, and our veggie gardens. I draw, bake, cook, and I’ve recently begun volunteering at a local food pantry. My favorite books are biographies, but I have been recently trying to read more memoirs and fiction.

-To me, history is a collection of stories about how each individual person can help or hinder humanity. Those who don’t learn history are doomed to repeat it, but those who know history can take lessons from it and apply it to situations in the world today. -I know many find history boring, and while I don’t expect everyone to have the same interests, I feel the blame lies partly on how teachers have to teach. I do teach dates, but I emphasize more on events. -I like to get to know who I’m tutoring so that I can tailor my lessons to catch their interests and make it easier for them to retain information.
