About Kayla
Throughout my undergraduate experience I worked as a writing tutor for my university. When I transitioned to Grad school, I also worked as a TA for an entry level history course. This taught me how to build deeper relationships with my students and alter my teaching methods to the learner. Currently, I work in Development at an art museum and spend my days writing grants and posts for my history blog. In college, I earned a certificate in resume writing and have experience presenting at conferences like Phi Alpha Theta and distinguished lecture series in Charleston, SC.

My teaching method is asking open-ended questions that lead students to their own discoveries to instill confidence in their work. A typical lesson would begin with addressing areas of need and tackling them in a step by step process. Lessons are centered around middle school and high school students.
