About Lily
I am a recent history graduate from the University of York with past experience tutoring small groups of students at GCSE level. I am passionate about history, particularly the early-modern period that encompasses the Tudor and Stuart reigns, and have an in-depth knowledge of the cultural and political landscapes of each. Women's history is also an area that I am confident to teach, with recent study surrounding the philosophy of beauty from ancient Greece to the modern day, and the early feminist movements of the Victorian era.

My lessons are geared towards GSCE, A Level and undergraduate students looking to improve their writing and analytical skills within the historical discipline. As I love history I try to bring the fun side into my lessons, not only going over the key points of a particular topic but also discussing the rich and fascinating things it may tell us. My lessons can be structured flexibly to suit the student's needs, however I will generally encourage a plan that encompasses going over key facts and events, and constructing thorough essay plans/exam question responses should the student require it.
