About Paul

Hallo! I’m Paul and hope to get the chance to support you while learning German. Whatever level you’re at right now and whatever you’re trying to achieve; I’m sure that as a 21-year-old who finished high school not even two years ago and who is both interested in German and English, I’m able to understand your struggles and sense your potential. I know how uninteresting middle school and exhausting high school is, but a helping hand can elevate not only your particular skills, but also your general experience in school. It’s always a good idea to receive assistance, but always a bad one to deny it. I’d be more than happy to be yours!

About the lesson

I seek to teach my knowledge of German grammar and semantics, but also cultural influences, as I believe it to be essential that one knows about the cultural background of the language they are learning. Furthermore, I believe in close communication between tutor and student and consistent learning at a pace that allows for both the student’s interest in the language to be nurtured as well as their skills developed. I usually give lessons of 1.5h, but that greatly depends on the student. I am no trained tutor/teacher, but I have worked as a tutor before, teaching Germans in high school, while still being in high school myself. I finished K-12 in Germany, scoring 87% in German and 80% in English high school finals. I am also currently volunteering with NDIS, which has taught me, among many things, patience and empathy; two pivotal abilities for anyone who gives help to others through teaching. I am happy to tutor students regardless of age or academic level, and I believe my English skills enable me to work with all kinds of students, no matter who they are and where they stand in their language progression.
