About Womi

Over the past 12 years, I have worked as a Spanish tutor for High School and College students, successfully teaching around 150 learners. My experience has shown me that every student learns differently, which is why I focus on creating personalised lessons that encourage steady progress and lasting confidence.

My teaching philosophy combines clear explanations with practical learning. Students develop grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through conversations, interactive exercises, reading materials, and regular revision. I believe language learning should be active, enjoyable, and connected to everyday life.

I encourage students to practise consistently and celebrate every improvement, no matter how small. Regular feedback helps learners stay motivated while developing independent learning habits. I also introduce cultural topics that give students a deeper understanding of the Spanish language.

One of my proudest achievements has been helping students become more confident communicators while improving their academic results. Watching learners grow in confidence and ability is the most rewarding part of my profession.

My goal is to inspire students to enjoy learning Spanish, achieve their educational goals, and develop communication skills that will benefit them throughout their future.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy for Spanish is built on creating an immersive, student-focused learning experience that inspires confidence and curiosity. I emphasise Accountability, guiding students to set achievable goals, track their progress, and take ownership of their learning journey.

With Integrity, I ensure that lessons are delivered honestly, fairly, and with the highest quality, fostering trust and a strong student-teacher relationship. I practise Flexibility by adapting lesson plans, materials, and teaching methods to suit each learner’s pace, interests, and preferred learning style.

Communication is central to my methodology, as I encourage students to ask questions, practise conversation, and engage actively in discussions, helping them internalise vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation naturally. Maintaining a Positive environment is equally important, as I celebrate small wins, motivate learners, and create a space where mistakes are seen as opportunities to grow rather than setbacks.

Beyond Spanish, I integrate related subjects such as literature, culture, grammar, and practical writing skills, giving students a holistic understanding of the language. My ultimate goal is to empower students to communicate effectively, apply their knowledge confidently in real-life contexts, and develop a lasting love for Spanish that extends beyond the classroom.
